It is great to be having this conversation! I believe in more true partnerships between artists and galleries. And trust is critical! If we work together with honesty and integrity we can have a win win for all involved! Let's hope the paradigm is truly shifting to this type of business model! It is time!

I really liked what Howard Cooperman said about a limited roster of artists so every artist's work is on display. With that type of arrangement an artist is much more motivated to produce and work closely with the gallery on marketing his/her paintings.

I always have back links to the galleries who represent me. I have also written blog posts on those galleries and then share on Facebook and other sites. I am happy to promote the wonderful galleries who I work with!
