Artists Choice award at Grand Canyon!

I just returned from the Grand Canyon Plein Air event, where I was very honored to win the ARTISTS CHOICE Award! Wow, I'm still stunned. I do think I did some of my best work ever at that event, but there are some heavy hitters at this show, so to be recognized among them is an honor I will always cherish.
No time to rest on my laurels, we had our 'first Saturday Artwalk' in Jerome last week, and I sold my experimental Saguaro painting shown above. I've been looking for ways to get a bit more abstraction into some of my work, and there will probably be more pieces like this coming soon.
Next up is the Sedona Arts Festival just a few days away - Oct. 10-11, which is a tent show on the grounds of the High School in Sedona. I believe this show has been running for 25 years or so, but it will be my first time participating. If you're in the area stop and say hi. My booth number is B-18.
For those of you who can't make it to one of my shows, or my Studio very often, I have something special for you. It's a new Android app that allows you to see exactly how my work would look on your walls...right in your own home or office!
Check out this short video to see how it works. It's pretty easy to use and fun. First you download the app to your smart phone or tablet - it's free and fast. (Open the google play store and type Pixels.com)  After downloading the app, you print out the 'wall target' (the app will let you email the image to yourself). Next type my name in the search box of the app, and boom, all the images I have on my Fine Art America site will be displayed on your device. There is also a tutorial built into the app if you need it.
Now have fun walking around your home and trying out new prints or paintings on your walls! It's really cool, I think you're going to love this. Let me know if you have any problems, or, if you don't see the image you want on my FAA account. I don't have my entire website on there, so if there's an image from my regular website you want to use in this app, just let me know and I'll upload it to FAA for you. Enjoy!
Finally, The  'Cody Collectors' page is now up on my website, check it out.
Any of you who wish to be shown there, please email me a photo, or photos, of you standing next to your Cody painting/s. I'll include this image along with your first name/s and town.
This would be a great resource for Sara and I to put faces to names, many of you I've met only once or twice, and often Sara never gets to meet you in person.  Please email photos to [email protected] and thank you for collecting!

Koya says...'a girl can never have too many toys'. Apparently it's also important to carry around as many as you can at the same time.
