As I mentioned in my last newsletter, I was very honored to win the ARTISTS CHOICE Award at the Grand Canyon Celebration of Art in September.
In October, I had a tent at the Sedona Arts Festival, where I was awarded FIRST PLACE in the Painting category. That's me with the Mayor of Sedona in the photo on the lower left.
Then in November I did the Zion National Park Plein Air Invitational, where I won TWO PURCHASE AWARDS! Three big awards in three months, it must be my year.
In the top photo, I am featured in the current issue of Western Art Collector where they ran a photo of one of my paintings, and a photo of me painting, and mentioned my Artists Choice Award from the Grand Canyon event. Thanks for the publicity WAC!
On to new business. It's officially the holiday season, and I just wanted to remind you what a great gift idea my metal prints make. If you are looking for something unique for that hard to buy for friend or relative, this is it. Check them out
here. And as always, let me know if I can be of any assistance with special orders or questions you might have. 928-300-4576
My annual 'new project' this year is to build a completely new website. My hope is that the next time you hear from me, I'll be announcing the new site, which will include a one-page shopping cart, where you can buy prints and original painting right on my website. I'm also going to be offering a much wider variety of print styles and sizes, frames and mat options.
There will also be an awesome new preview tool, which will allow you to visualize paintings and prints on a wall in your home. It's really helpful when trying to determine how a certain size painting or print will fit on your wall. You can even select your wall color to see how the painting might actually look in your home. Unlike the phone app I mentioned last month, this tool is really easy to use, and will simply be another feature available to you on my site should you choose to use it. I think you're going to love it.
The
Cody Collectors page is slowly growing. If you own an original oil painting of mine, and wish to added to this page, please email me a photo of yourself next to your painting. Include your name/s and town and state.
This would be a great resource for Sara and I to put faces to names, many of you I've met only once or twice, and often Sara never gets to meet you in person. Please email photos to
[email protected] and thank you for collecting!
