Zion 2013

After a long sloooow summer, painting sales have picked up in Jerome.
October has been very good for which I'm grateful. I had a commission
for a larger version of the truck paining above "Retirement Home", in
addition to several other significant sales from my studio. It's nice to
finally see some classy collectors back in town.
Speaking of class, I'll be teaching a one-day workshop in Casa Grande
(between Phoenix and Tucson) on Tuesday, December 3, from 9 - 5. This
will be a condensed version of my 'Six Steps to Better Painting' class.
If you're interested in this one-day intensive, feel free to contact me
at [email protected] or call 928-300-4576. Cost is $135 for the day.
Get started on your painting goals for next year early!
I leave this Friday for the Zion National Park Plein Air Invitational.
Zion is such a beautiful place to paint, and I'm happy to be invited
back again. The painting at the very top is my studio piece for that
event, 'Below the Narrows' 24"x 18".
Autumn is a bit late here in Arizona. We've had unusually warm weather,
just beautiful really, and as a result it wasn't until this week that we
began to see some nice fall colors. Two large mulberries in my yard are
still mostly green; hard to believe as it is almost November. Time
flies, and it's already that time of year to be thinking of holiday
gifts for those hard-to-buy-for people on your list.
I'm running the same special I did last year at this time -- FREE
SHIPPING on all prints and paintings purchased between now and December
25. The Metal Prints have
become increasingly popular, but it takes a couple of weeks for me to
get them, so don't wait too long to order.
As always, I have some great new pieces in the studio. Come on by and
see for yourself if you can make it to Jerome this fall. If not, many
of my new landscapes are posted here on my website.
Let me know if you see
something that might look great on your walls. I've also found a little
time to do some new still lifes, which you can see here.
