Zion to Grand Canyon

It's hard to believe how fast spring is flying by. The desert is abloom, and it's great weather for getting ouside. I'm happy to say things have been really busy here. In fact, the last three months have been record-setting months for me in my studio for painting sales and commissions. My walls are looking a little lean, but that's the kind of problem I'm happy to deal with.
I just returned from a quick painting trip to Zion National Park, where I delivered some new pieces to DeZion Gallery. While there I got in some great mountain biking (photos on my Facebook page) and some plein air painting with my good friend and artist Josh Been. It was a great time, and now I'm packing for my river trip through the Grand Canyon. Ten days of painting and rafting with no cell phones or email. When was the last time you were 'unplugged' for ten days? I highly recommend it, good for the soul.
I am blessed, and I'm thankful to have a great family, and such good friends and collectors.
Side Note:
You never know what's out there. Sara did a you tube search and found this slide show of my work, put together by a Russian guy. Some of the work is older now, so it was interesting for me to see. You might enjoy it, too. It's only about three minutes long.

In Other News

I've been invited to teach a two-day workshop in Driggs, Idaho in July. This is the valley on the west side of the Tetons, almost west of Jackson, Wyoming. If you're interested, here's a link.

That's it for now, I'll have more time to compose for next month. Until then, I hope you're having a great spring.
