New work and a request
How is the new year treating you so far, working on those resolutions?
I've been busy recently updating my website. I added some new work of
course, and I also reworked a lot of my 'About Cody'
page to more accurately reflect
where I'm going and where I've been. Take a minute to have a look.
Winter is the rainy season here in Porto. Last year I didn't ride my
bike too much in the winter, but this year I decided to gear up, and
bought better rain gear. Now I'm riding even in the rain and mud. I
have one or two friends who are also crazy, and we egg each other on
even in ridiculous conditions. For me it's about keeping a commitment
to myself about consistency of training, and it's actually been a lot
of fun with my buddies too.
February in addition to being my birthday month, is also my favorite
month to do commissions
, so if you have an
idea for a special scene in the perfect size for your space, let's
talk.
New Work:
Of course I've been in the studio painting as always. Here's some
recent work, I've been experimenting with pushing atmosphere in some of
these. See what you think.

And something a little more abstract. I may do a new series of urban
paintings called 'Neighborhood Noise'. This was pretty fun to paint.

And now for my request. As I continue on the road of self promotion, I
would love to have some photos of my work in your home, to help new
collectors imagine how my work might look in their home.
If you are willing, take a clean photo (phone is fine) of one of my
paintings on your wall. Zoom out a little so they can get a sense of
the room, and a sense of scale. Email the images to:

Below is a recent work, which is mostly just from my imagination, but
loosely based on high alpine lakes with rock scree ringing part of the
lake.
This is one of my favorite new works, and it's available.
I did a short video on this painting, which you can find on my facebook
page here > Facebook
