Online Classes Anyone?
Hello all,
How is your year going so far?
Living in Europe is a dream come true in many ways, with many rich new
experiences for me to explore close at hand. But it's not all
butterflies and rainbows. I am often struck by how much less choice I
have here in Portugal. For example just finding good canvas on panels I
can cut to size, and certain paints has proven difficult. We are
spoiled for choice in the USA.
I have found that there is also far less opportunity to sell my work
here.
Someone on social media recently asked me why I'm still painting
Southwest subjects in addition to some of my new European works.
Well...besides the fact that the American SW is in my blood...
There are no plein air events or outdoor tent shows to speak of here.
98% of the galleries here only want 'modern/contemporary/abstract'
work. I'm not known here and don't speak the language (yet) which
creates further obstacles to making a living.
I say this not to complain but rather to tell you, my followers,
friends and collectors (primarily in the USA) how much I appreciate
your continued support. It will take time to establish a foothold here.
In the meantime I am more than happy to ship work to you in the USA,
including commissions should you have something special in mind.

I am now offering online classes for one-on-one or small group
sessions. Reasonable rates to help you take your paintings to the next
level or just get started if you've been thinking about painting.
One on one sessions are just $50 per hour.
Two artists is $35 each, per hour.
Three or more $25 each per hour.
