Stranger in a strange land I hope this finds all of you well and safe during this stressful time. In addition to a few fact based posts about Covid-19, I'm also posting some random art and architecture on my FB page if you're interested, and a little humor now and then as I'm sure we all could use some levity right now. Follow my page if you're not already. I hope your family is well, I personally know of a couple people who are struggling in the hospital. And I have several friends who work in hospitals, they are my heroes. These are uncertain times. My May river trip has been cancelled by the park service, and I suspect they will cancel all trips through the summer at least.. Jerome is all but shut down, most people are sheltering at home as requested. I still go up a couple days a week just to paint in my studio. It's nice to paint in peace, but strange at the same time. Now that the weather is really getting nice I'm also painting outdoors more. I lost the light, but still enjoyed the day I lost the light, but still enjoyed the day _____ How has it been in your family this past couple of weeks? I live alone so not much has changed at home for me, but as I drive around I feel like a stranger in a strange land. I am making an effort to do the things I love which are still allowed. Yesterday the Clintonator and I did a 3 hour mountain bike ride. It was a grueling workout, but we chose trails that weren't too technical, just to minimize the risk. Not a good time to require a trip to the hospital. Still I feel fortunate to have my art, it keeps my mind challenged and pleasantly occupied for a good part of each day. I now have more than 15 videos, some for artists and some for collectors. I just finished two that I added this week. There's a free one about getting started painting, if you were thinking this is a good time to give it a go. It's not difficult at all, but there are a few choices I wanted to point out in case you didn't know about all the cool features. I'm sort of figuring out the videos as I go along, so they are a little rough but it's a start, let me know what you think. Stay healthy and may art bring you some peace and comfort.
