Take a breath and smile
This latest virus threat has many people in a snit. I know most of us
are concerned about getting sick, (and not running out of toilet paper
;-) but let's not lose our dignity and compassion in the process.
Take a breath and smile, first for yourself and then for others. The
other day I was riding my bike down the street and saw an older couple
walking down the sidewalk towards me. As I got close I gave them a big
smile, their dour faces lit up. The man especially had a look on his
face like, 'oh yeah I'm still alive'!
By the way, we are cleaning the door handle at the studio twice a day,
among other precautions to keep everyone safe so please, don't hesitate
to visit me at the Studio
.

It's also commission season. I've been hard at work completing several
large commissions lately. Above is a 6 min video of a recent
commissioned 30"x40" Painting. The clients had some ideas they shared
with me, and I expanded on this to create something they were excited
about, and would fit their space perfectly.

Below are a couple of recent paintings based on hike in Sycamore Canyon.
The first one 'Reflections in Orange and Blue' is based on the concept
of using primarily orange and blue. It was interesting using this
limited palette.
The second one 'Autumn Drift' is based on the concept of thick and thin
paint application, creating an exciting surface tension. Very thick
paint is used on the leaf covered shore, and fairly transparent paint
is used in the water. I like it.
Both are nicely framed and ready to warm your home or office.
