Grand Canyon Plein Air Event 2019
It's that time again, I'm heading up to the canyon for the 2019
Celebration of Art event put on by the Grand Canyon Conservancy. This
has always been a great event for me. I'm one of only three artists who
have been invited every single year, I won the event in 2010, received
Artist Choice Award in 2015, was the number 2 seller once, and have
been a top 5 seller several times.
Ok, that's my shameless self promo bit, hope to see you there if you
are in the area the weekend of Sept. 14-15. The painting above is my
Studio piece for the show.
Plein Air Magazine Podcast
Last month I mentioned that I was recently interviewed by Eric Rhoads
founder of Plein Air Magazine. A few of you missed that newsletter and
later asked about it, so here is the link again in case you're
interested.
You will have to sit through a few minutes of Eric taking care of other
business before he gets to me, and then the interview is about 40

Next month I'll be unveiling some semi-abstract Cactus paintings,
here's a sneak preview of some very small experiments I did last week.
I'll be working some of these ideas into larger paintings once I return
from the canyon, so stay tuned...
